More firms see benefits of copywriting

Financial Copywriter

More and more companies are recognising the business benefits of using a professional copywriter.

I’ve been so busy writing blogs for other people that this is the first one I’ve had a chance to write for my own site this year.

In 2018, I’ve been working almost non-stop for a huge range of companies from blue-chip fund managers, software providers and big four accountancy firms to smaller financial technology (fin tech) firms, solicitors, financial advisers and recruitment consultants.

I have also written many articles for top publications including Raconteur (most of which go into special reports in the print versions of The Times and Sunday Times), Citywire, and The Spectator. In fact, I’ve written more than 20 articles just for The Times/Raconteur this year.

Here are just a few of the topics I’ve written about this year: alternative investments; Islamic finance; banking culture; insurance transformation; peer-to-peer lending; fin tech; pension de-risking; pension transfers; risk management; corporate reporting; chief financial officers and ethics; property law; civil partnerships; and recruitment issues for accountants. 2017: a great year for copywriting

If you need a journalistcopywriter or editor who is updating their skills and experience constantly, you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve worked with more than 20 companies this year, from small firms to blue-chip multi-nationals – including accountants, banks, insurers and investment managers. The larger ones included Ernst & Young, CIMA/AICPA, Bank of New York, Aegon, Aviva, Allianz and Fidelity.

I recently had a full-page article in a special report in The Times – Hard times at the helm of the Fed.

I continued writing for The Spectator, including How shareholders can help keep large companies in check and Is digital financial advice any good?

Plus, I’ve kept up my great, long-running relationship with Citywire, including New Model Adviser, Wealth Manager and international titles. Favourites from this year include GPFM Financial: ‘We are the Ant and Dec of financial planning’ and Julia Parsons lambasts boozy bar culture of conferences.

I also blogged regularly on financial technology (‘fintech’) issues for Kurtosys.

Welcome to my new website

I offer high impact, results-driven copywriting, editing and communications services. Click About to find out more about my skills and 20 years of experience, and Testimonials to see what others think.

I have many top national and international clients but also enjoy working with companies large and small from nearby towns like Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Northampton and St Albans.

As you can see, I’m based in Pavenham, a village just north of Bedford, UK, but easily commutable to London and other big cities. When not typing away on my latest article or project, I enjoy playing lots of tennis, and long runs or walks around the Ouse Valley, not to mention frequenting our great local pub.

Hope you like the site and please do let me know what you think.
